Introducing the Stability Chamber
The Cominus stability chamber guarantees precise and effective tests thanks to its two installable controllers: PID and HMI PLC. The process can be fully automated in order to constantly monitor the parameters and perform climatic tests at a constant temperature.
The so-called stability tests of drugs or medications can be performed in a laboratory setting using a pharmaceutical stability chamber. This equipment enables the control, monitoring, and documentation of variables like temperature, humidity, differential pressure, lighting, gas levels, and other environmental conditions.
To conduct this type of testing, these chambers are specialised
incubators that can be programmed to mimic environmental
conditions. A batch of drugs can be placed inside a stability chamber for a predetermined amount of time (for example, one month or one year), after which the impact on the product’s quality will be periodically assessed. These tools can also be used to estimate the shelf life and expiration date of medications and in investigations of accelerated ageing more accurate experimentation while also being energy-efficient.
